Carly + Noah's Rustic Colorful Boho Wedding in Bronson, MI

Nothing is better than when we have a local wedding near Coldwater. Carly and Noah reached out to us about their day at Parham Road Barn in Bronson, MI and we were ecstatic to document their day for them. Carly initially described their day as rustic, boho, and elegant and I think they really nailed everything. Their color palette was absolute perfection, as well as pretty much EVERYTHING about the entire day and evening. They even got lucky and had a great sunset and we were able to sneak out for some extra portraits in the corn field. Carly and Noah were relaxed and really fun to work with and I think having a relaxed approach to your day really lends to the most beautiful photos.

Aimee and Nathan's Backyard Boho Wedding in Montgomery, Michigan

Aimee and Nathan's day was another wedding in 2016 where we felt right at home. We've known Aimee since high school and were ecstatic to photograph their day. Aimee and Nathan opted for an intimate backyard wedding with their family and friends held at Aimee's parents property in Montgomery, Michigan. They had the most heartfelt first look and of course that made for some super sweet images. Aimee and her family did all the decor themselves, which oh my gosh LOOK AT IT! SO STUNNING!!!! They are some of the loveliest boho details we have ever shot!!! Scroll slow they are so good! Their celebration was filled with so much happiness and love and we were so honored to be a part of it!

Giovanna + Terrell's Whimsical Kalamzoo Boho Wedding

Giovanna and Terrell invited me to shoot their day at Martell's on a beautiful Saturday in May 2016 in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Rain sprinkled down right before the ceremony providing the most lovely cloud cover that made everything look extra lush. They had an exceptionally beautiful ceremony and the love from all of their close family and friends was palpable.   I was so honored to be part of such an intimate day! Portrait time was a breeze as you can see below these two are naturals! All of their details were so well thought out and just fit the vibe of their day really well! I hope you enjoy this post because I really love everything about their boho-y spring day!

Erica and Sam Southern Michigan Rainy Day Wedding

Okay this is a HUGE post.........There's something so truly wonderful about photographing for couple's you've known forever and are friends with. Erica and Sam's day was moody and magical. Accompanied by their dear friends and family they married near Quincy Michigan on one of the rainiest June days there ever was. Their ceremony was intimate and sweet on Sam's families property. The rain stopped right when Erica decided to walk down the aisle and it was so perfect. The reception was a blast  and help at Tip-Up Island in Quincy, MI and I think the photos do a wonderful job of telling the rest of the story especially the crazy dance party at the end! Thank you Sam and Erica for letting us tell the story of your best day ever!

Chloe + Mike Traverse City Michigan Engagement

Okay so I'm throwing it back to MAY.....yes........May........to Chloe and Mike's engagement session. Chloe and Mike are just like the SWEETEST people ever. They asked Corey and I about coming up to Traverse City and we were all about it (we desperately needed a break before the Scout was born!) We had initially decided on wooded/ and downtown locations and the pier where they got engaged, but on the way to our hotel I spotted the apple orchard in bloom that we used for the first part of the photos and knew it had to be utilized! We also had questionable weather that day but decided to proceed on the pier and beach even through a straight downpour. Instead of quitting even though we were all drenched Chloe and Mike continued and I couldn't love what we created more. Thank you Chloe and Mike again times 1000 for trusting our vision and having us up there we had so much fun!!! Also the best sessions end with margaritas!!!!!!!!

Kayla+David Southwest Michigan Boho Wedding 9.26.15

Kayla and David contacted me about photographing their reception event near Battle Creek, Michigan and I couldn't have been more excited to do so! When I was emailing with her I knew her and I were destined to make some photographic magic especially after we met and she was describing the whole vibe and aesthetic of her day! There is so much to say about this set of photographs and their day; how welcoming Kayla, David and their families were. The fact that it was a chill, laid back, backyard event on Kayla's family farm (Oh how we adore these kinds of days!) AMAZING DIY decor, the perfect overcast warm weather and amazing surprise sunset, peacocks EVERYWHERE...........UGH I want to relive this over and over. I loved that I was able to capture these lovely humans sweet and intimate connection in a place that was special for them and their family. I think this will forever be one of my favorite days and I am so overjoyed to share this little story!
